Purchased a nice bike here for a good deal and had to go back a few times to get a front derailleur dialed in -- there were some rides where I ended up only being able to use my small ring. Was almost ready to give up on the bike, but Howie (mechanic) was able to do what the previous mechanic could not do and got the bike in working order. Although it took a couple tries, they were always responsive, informative and helpful. Lee (manager) did a good job of getting things straight and addressing some issues. They appear to be swamped w/ numerous bike maintenance issues from what I'm guessing(??) are a lot of 1st time cyclists and do a good job in spite of that. Also a good place for "expendable" -- tubers, nutrition, etc.
Great experience!!! I bought an old bike on Craigslist that needed some new tires and some TLC. Can't say enough about Rich. He let me know what my bike needed to be functional and did the work the same day!! The cost was also very reasonable.
Love this store. Excellent service. Employees are super helpful and friendly. Pricing seem good, but can be confusing with the various sales, coupons and points. I think this is the best bike store in the area.

Bike shops all suffer from a peculiar service mentality that can be a little off-putting. While Performance is more "a store that sells bikes" than a "bike shop," that also makes them a bit more approachable.

Good place to pick up consumables: tubes, CO2, bike foods, chain lube, etc. Since I do almost all my own maintenance, it's about convenience when I need something, and Performance almost always has what I need at a good price.
